INTRODUCTIONThis is my Design Project 3 (at NID, Ahmedabad), which is focused on Content, Context and Interaction. We are suppose to address one of our concerns and come up with an effective solution.
My concern is UNPLANNED PREGNANCIES IN YOUNG ADULTS Despite modern methods of family planning, and widespread information about sex, it’s consequences and it’s precautions, unplanned pregnancy is one of the most common medical problems faced by sexually active young adults (18-28 years) in this generation. Moreover, even with the availability of modern contraception, and greater scientific knowledge about human reproduction, a number of factors combine to place young adults today at a greater risk of unplanned pregnancy. There appears to be a lack of proper sex education and well structured source of information, to acquire knowledge about sex and it’s triggers, consequences and precautions. Also lack of support from parents and society makes this situation worse. |
PROJECT BRIEFThis project focuses on determining the possible reasons for teenage pregnancies and the consequences that follows, along with precautions. It deals with developing an Persuasive Behavior Change Design.
|
It’s something that is designed to change attitudes or behaviors of the users through persuasion and social influence, but not through coercion. There are two levels of persuasion - Macrosuasion and Microsuasion. The former is when the overall product is intended to be persuasive, whereas the later is when components(features) of the product is meant to persuade.
